Vermentino is an Italian grape widely planted in Sardinia. Here in the Santa Ynez Valley this wine is sourced from the Sanger Estate Vineyard near Happy Canyon. It is a light but extremely complex wine that can express white peach, lime and pink grapefruit with subtle notes of crushed rocks and citrus zest. A bit over the top but sounded cool. 60 cases made. -
Always one of my favorite wines. The newest version shows the smooth buttery pear flavors that bathe the mouth in a distinctively Grenache Blanc display of presence. Barrel fermented and aged sur lie for a year this wine hits all the right spots on the pallet and will continue to please.
