A classic varietal from the Rioja region of Spain, the vines love the heat on the east side of Santa Ynez and produce deeply colored wines with fantastic aging potential. While approachable now with blackberry and chocolate notes, time will only prove to add complexities that will be exciting to disseminate and explore.
